Dr. Delia Tamondong, 57
A HIGHLY respected former education official of San Carlos City, Dr. Delia Martinez Tamondong, succumbed to a lingering illness last August 4 at the age of 57.
This was revealed by her daughter Ms. Yna, 24, who described the education pillar –holder of a doctorate in Psychology as “well-loved, brilliant, highly respected” public school supervisor in San Carlos City.
Dr. Tamondong was the daughter of the late printing press operator Alfredo Tamondong and the former Juliana Martinez, former principal of Mabalbalino Elementary School.
During her prime, Dr. Tamondong was active in designing education programs that enhanced youth and education development. Her innovative ideas are still relevant up to this date, opined community leaders including former Councilor Araceli Martinez, San Fabian civic Jake Flores, an associate of Secretary Florencia Abad, Dr. Guido Tiong, city info officer Rachel Nelmida and legions of other admirers.
She is survived by daughters Yna and Pia, brother Jing and sister Mildred dela Cruz, cousins and relatives.
Her remains will be buried at the Holy Memorial Garden on August 10, Sunday at 10 A.M.
