San Jacinto MPDO stabbed dead
THE Municipal Planning and Development Officer of San Jacinto town was stabbed dead Thursday morning in Dagupan after buying medicine from a drug store along A.B. Fernandez Ave., Dagupan City.
The fatality was identified as Virgilio de Guzman, 62, married, resident of Barangay Capaoay this town who sustained multiple stab wounds from a 10-inch long kitchen knife after he came out from Mercury Drug Store and walked alone at the sidewalk going east direction.
The victim was rushed to Region 1 Medical Center in Dagupan City but was declared on arrival by his attending physician.
Superintendent Christopher Abrahano, Dagupan City police chief, said they arrested the suspect, identified as Jorge Bauzon, 33, restaurant employee and temporarily residing in Barangay San Vicente, San Jacinto.
The police eye personal grudge as the possible motive for the killing.–Tita Roces
