DTI’S APPEAL FOR ‘DISKWENTO’

PARENTS sending children to school here this year can heave a sigh of relief knowing that their budgets for school supplies can be stretched further.

Major stores selling school supplies have closed ranks behind the call of the Pangasinan office the Department of Trade to provide more discounts in the sale of school supplies.

Anchored on DTI’s ‘Diskwento and Balik Eskwela’ programs, Provincial Director Peter Mangabat said the following establishments CSI Supermarkets, Magic Supermarkets, Robinsons Place Pangasinan, National Bookstore, Nepo Mall Dagupan, Nepo Mart Alaminos, SM City Rosales, CB Mall Urdaneta, Magic Mall Urdaneta, Unitop Supermarket-San Carlos City and Home Ideas Superstore, agreed to support government’s call.

The above-listed establishments signed a memorandum of agreement committing to mark down their selling prices by as much as ten percent based on current market prices.

Mangabat encouraged the public to buy their school needs at their ‘Diskwento Sale’ partners to avail of lower prices.  (PIA-Pangasinan/VHS)
