NSO-Pangasinan provincial statistics officer Dante Pescador said the new system, which involves a “self-service” approach that would cut the regular 86-minute processing time to half or only 43 minutes per transaction.

He explained that there are no more screeners checking identification cards and control for distributing application forms to clients.

Under the new system, all forms are available in one section and clients can freely get whatever form they need. Once accomplished, their number will be called for the processing of payment or to pick up the document/s requested at the cashier and researcher station.

The NSO in the province serves around 800-1,000 clients daily and downloads about 1,500 documents per day.–Johanne R. Macob
