Dagupan hosts national dance educators convention

THE city will host the 29th Annual National Dance Educators Convention-Workshop from April 25 to 29 at the People’s Astrodome as part of the celebration of the 2014 edition of the Bangus Festival.

Dr. Edith Galing, president of the Dance Education Association of the Philippines (DEAP), said teachers, education supervisors, administrators and students of public and private schools from all over the country will participate in the event.

Centered on the theme “DEAP: Its Continuing Leadership Through Innovations and Challenges in Dance Education,” the convention-workshop will include forums and dance lessons on folk and ethnic dances and music.

The holding of the national dance convention is in coordination with the Dagupan City Culture and Arts Office through its executive director Zenaida Sinlao. (CIO)
