LINGAYEN—Solar-powered lights will soon be brightening evening strolls at the Lingayen Baywalk with help from the San Roque Power Corporation (SRPC).

Second District Congressman Leopoldo Bataoil, prime mover of the baywalk project, said the company has responded positively to his request for assistance through SRPC’s Tom Valdez.

“We hope to see the lights installed on or before this May 1,” Bataoil said.

The congressman added that concrete benches along the baywalk will soon be constructed, also through private participation.

He said plans are afoot to introduce more improvements in the area including the extension towards the airport and the El Puerto Marina.

The expansion project will be financed with national funding.–Johanne R. Macob
