LINGAYEN- – -The Provincial Health Office (PHO) has been granted a certificate of registration from the Certification International Philippines Inc. (CIPI) to the ISO (International Organization for Standardization) last January 23.

The certification was a result of a two-year extensive research and planning for the specific scope on the β€œformulation of health plan, capability building, monitoring and evaluation of health programs.”

The certification will be valid for three years.

β€œTwo years in the making. Natutuwa kami especially si Gov. Amado T. Espino, Jr. na siyang palaging nagsusulong ng reporma para sa higit na ikagaganda ng Pangasinan,” said Rommel Cardinoza, a PHO officer.

Cardinoza said the CIP has thoroughly scrutinized and validated the core process of the PHO as embodied in the manual that focused on six mandatory procedures.

CIP is the lead agency accredited by ISO to review and audit the process.

ISO-9001:2008 is a set of standards and requirements for the development of a quality management system applied by private corporations and organizations to ensure that the needs and expectations of customers or clients are adequately and consistently met.
