ALYANNA Christine Joy Diavane from Dagupan topped the professional eligibility category in Region 1 for the Career Service Examination administered last October 13, 2013.

In the region, 678 examinees passed the professional level while 167 takers passed the sub-professional level.

A career service professional eligibility is one of the basic requirements for permanent appointment to second level (technical) positions in government while the sub-professional level is for first level (clerical) government positions.

Both eligibilities, however, do not apply to positions involving practice of profession that require an appropriate license, and those positions covered by special laws.

The regional list of top 10 passers for the professional level are: 1st place-Alyanna Christine Joy Diavane (88.12); 2nd place-Marie Louise Valbuena (87.27); 3rd place-John Alexis Ilacad (87.19); 4th place-Ronnie James Casamayor (87.07); 5th place-Anna Victoria Rafanan (87.03); 6th place-Hedrich Calderon (87.02); 7th place-Neil Brian Casem (86.95); 8th place-Clyde Wynn Puyaoan (86.93); 9th place-Regienald Collado (86.83); and 10th place-Regina Anne Perez (86.78).

Diavane, a fourth year student at Ateneo de Manila University taking up Management Information System, said  she is now looking at every opportunity for work after graduation.

“Passers of the career service examination now have the passport to enter government service and they have the chance to get permanent positions in the government as well as enjoy the security of tenure,” said Director Lyrma Oalin of CSC-Lingayen field office.  (PIA1-Pangasinan/AMM)
