Septuagenarian dies in blaze
LAOAC—A septuagenarian died in a fire that razed his house at about 8:20 p.m. of January 15 in Barangay Casantiagoan here.
The fatality was identified as Mariano Arnobit, 70, who was sleeping in his room when the blaze started.
His neighbors doused the fire with pails of water but the flames, fanned by strong wind, spread quickly.
The cause of the blaze is still being investigated by the Bureau of Fire Protection based in Manaoag.
