Rizal Hour at Kabaleyan Channel Dec. 30
THE Pangasinan Historical Cultural Commission (PHCC) headed by its chair, Atty. Gonzalo T. Duque, will hold a 2-hour Rizal Hour over Aksyon Radyo simulcast with Kabaleyan Channel’s Servicio Publiko to commemorate the 107th death anniversary of Rizal on December 30, starting at 4 p.m.
The show will feature poetry reading and a forum on Rizal, according to Virginia Pasalo and Arabel Arcinue, PHCC officers.
A panel discussion on Rizal’s roots in Pangasinan and relevance to the times will involve PHCC members.
Organizers of Rizal Hour include former Binmaley Vice Mayor Armi Lorica.
Rizal and history scholars invited to read the hero’s Mi Ultimo Adios (My Last Farewell) are Fr. Weng Escaño, a PHCC commissioner; poet Santiago Villafania, who will read the Pangasinan version; Melchor Orpilla, the Ilocano version; and Youssef Velasco of the PMS, the Tagalog version.
