Dagupan day care centers get high ratings

THE Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has given a high satisfactory to the 43 Day Care Centers of Dagupan after an inspection last Thursday for the re-accreditation of its facilities and workers.

Mayor Belen T. Fernandez and the City Social Welfare and Development Office headed by Leah L. Aquino sought the renewal of of the  accreditation as the centers. The last  renewal was 2007.

DSWD’s Day Care Center and Day Care Worker Accreditors compopsed of Teresa S. Asis Richard A. Dizon and Marvin P. Bautista were visibly impressed with the renovations and innovations for the city’s day care centers.

Aquino said the services of the icty’s day care centers are one of the priority advcacies of Mayor Belen Fernandez even when she was still the vice-mayor.

With the renewed accreditation, the city will be qualkfied to receive financial and technical assistance from the DSWD in addition tot the ongoing feeding program.

All day care centers have recently been repainted by the City Engineering Office through a sponsorship by Boysen Paints. (CIO)
