The activity was part of the 5^th year anniversary celebration of the Shore It Up project of MPIC headed by Manny V. Pangilinan. With a common goal to protect the environment, SIU merged with Gov. Amado T. Espino Jr.’s Save the Lingayen Gulf (SLING) campaign for the implementation of various environmental projects like the simultaneous coastal clean-up.
