LINGAYEN– The Pangasinan Provincial Police Office (PPPO) formed an investigation task group to look into the bus-burning incident at the Five Star Bus Terminal- located in Barangay Tempra Guilig, San Fabian last October 5.

Two buses with plate numbers AVY 557 and UVP 698 were set on fire by still unidentified men.

Initial investigation indicates that five male suspects carrying short firearms and plastic containers containing gasoline entered the said bus terminal and burned the buses.

Two of the suspects disarmed the security guard on-duty and reportedly said, “Hindi ka kasali dito kaya huwag ka nang pumalag.

The suspects left the scene on board two unmarked motorcycles.

Recovered from the crime scene were four severely burnt plastic containers and one lighter.

PPPO Information Officer Ryan Manongdo said the investigating group, in coordination with adjacent police stations, has been tasked to establish the motive for the crime, which could possibly involve a labor-management row.–Johanne R. Macob
