PHASE 1 of this year’s Pangasinan Chess Festival, an annual event sponsored by Gov. Amado Espino Jr., kicks off on September 21 with the six-day chess-study to be staged by the Lingayen-based Pangasinan Chess League (PCL) headed by Don Juan Sison.

Dubbed as the “3^rd Gov. Amado T. Espino, Jr. Chess Clinic 2013”, the competition will be conducted at the provincial training center in Lingayen on three consecutive Saturdays and Sundays ending on October 6.

PCL events director Allen Garcia said the clinic is expected to attract 100 participants from the province’s different schools, non-government organizations and military sector..–JAGJr.
