KBP holds ‘Broadcastreeing’ in Dagupan
THE Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas-Pangasinan Chapter organized its own tree planting activity dubbed “Broadcastreeing” on September 7 along the Dawel riverbank in Dagupan City.
“Broadcastreeing” is a nationwide campaign of the national organization in support of the government’s National Greening Program.
Jay Mendoza, KBP-Pangasinan president, said more than 3,000 seedlings were planted by media personalities from radio and television.
Invited guests were Dagupan Mayor Belen Fernandez and Vice Mayor Brian Lim, Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer Leduina Co, and Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Dagupan Chief Roderick Dawis.
The activity was in collaboration with DILG, the Department of Environment and Natural Resource, the provincial government, and the city government of Dagupan. (PIA1-Pangasinan/VHS)
