AUTHOR’S INSPIRATION—Mita Q. Sison Duque, author of Embraced by Sun, a novel about Filipino doctors in America, is surrounded by her daughters Doctors Kim D. Deranja, Kristin S. Duque, and Katrina D. Kappe after she released her book.  Duque is the wife of the late Dr., Salvador T. Duque, former chancellor of Lyceum Northwestern University, and daughter of the late Justice Porfirio V. Sison and former Vice Gov. Nancy Q. Sison Not in the photo are her sons Doctors Marco, Marvin, and Michael S. Duque.
