PILMICO Poultry and Livestock Expo set in Pangasinan
Lingayen– – -Livestock farmers from various towns in Pangasinan will get the chance to showcase their backyard business in the two-day Poultry and Livestock Expo slated on May 23 and 24 at the PTDC compound here.
Sponsored by Aboitiz Equity Venture’s food group, Pilmico, the big event organized in cooperation with the Pangasinan Provincial Government and the Department of Agriculture, is expected to gather hog raisers, goat raisers and game fowl raisers in one venue.
With its free seminars and live demos, the Pilmico Poultry and Livestock Expo is aimed at educating guests and participants on proper backyard livestock raising using their four-pillar Diamond Program that includes breeding and genetics, sound management, complete healthcare and excellent nutrition.
Sabin Aboitiz, CEO of Pilmico, said that through the expo the sponsors expect to educate livestock farmers on how to earn more from livestock farming and promote a sustainable poultry and livestock backyard business.
Governor Amado T. Espino, Jr. earlier thanked the group for choosing Pangasinan as the venue for their two-day expo and commended them for providing an opportunity for local livestock farmers to excel in their ventures.

Highlights of the two-day activity are the Pig Show, Chicken Show, Aerial Sabong (Aerial Cockfighting Tourney), and kite-flying show featuring giant 6- meter kites.
Prior to the event Pilmico has provided selected backyard raisers and their families with piglets and chicks for them to grow into full-sized market hogs in time for the culminating activity. These animals will be auctioned during the grand expo.
