Rosario admits he is under threat
BINMALEY–Mayor Simplicio Rosario has admitted he is one of the four mayors marked for liquidation by still unidentified hired guns after the slaying of Mayor Julian Resuello of San Carlos City.
Rosario, who is seeking reelection for a second term of office, said several of his friends from Manila and in Pangasinan called him up to warn him about reports coming from intelligence sources that he would be the next victim after Resuello.
The report stated the deadline for Rosario’s liquidation was May 4 but it did not happen.
“Whether it is a hoax or not, I am not taking any chances,” he said, adding that he and members of his ticket have already limited their campaign rallies up to 7:00 p.m. only because of the threat.
Rosario is at a loss as to why he has been included among the targets when he knows he has not intentionally offended anybody and just doing his best as mayor of the town, a position, which he says, is really a thankless job.
