Drunk man is latest gun ban violator

STA. MARIA—A duck-raiser from Barangay Caboluan here who was drunk and pointing a gun at passers-by was arrested by the police at about 7:30 p.m. of January 31.

Eric Padua, 31, was taken into custody and slapped with a case of illegal possession of firearm and violation of the election gun ban.

Senior Inspector Roldan Ruitos, chief of police of Sta. Maria, said Barangay Chairman George Claridad of Poblacion East reported Padua who was harassing and threatening people passing through a rice field in Barangay Caboluan.

Padua, along with the Smith and Wesson Caliber 38 seized from him, was brought to Sta. Maria Police Station for custodial investigation and documentation.
