THREE councilors from Pangasinan have been named among the Ten Outstanding Councilors of Region 1 by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and Philippine Councilors’ League Regional Council Region I.

Those awarded are Councilors Kelvin T. Chan of Pozorrubio, Rosalie Ellasus of San Jacinto, and Saturnino Distor of San Fabian.

The award, the first at the regional level, was based on excellent legislation output and involvement in the implementation of local government programs and projects.

The Plaques of Recognition were awarded last January 23 as the concluding event to the 1^st General Assembly of the PCL held in Paoay, Ilocos Norte.

Guest Speaker was Ilocos Norte Vice Governor Angelo Marcos Barba representing Governor Imee Marcos.

PCL Region I Chairperson and National Auditor Maybelyn DC Fernandez, councilor of Dagupan City, handed the plaques to the awardees.
