Tests for fire officers, civil service eligibility set
EXAMINATIONS for fire officers and civil service eligibility have been set and the Civil Service Commission (CSC) is urging interested individuals to file their applications early.
The Fire Officer Examination is scheduled on March 10 and the deadline for application is January 24, while the civil service exam for professional and sub-professional levels is on April 15 and application deadline is February 28.
Romulo Nabua of the CSC-Lingayen field office advised applicants to file their applications early and not wait until the last week of the filing period.
Nabua also reminded applicants during the Pantongtongan Tayo radio program of the Philippine Information Agency on Tuesday that applications that do not have all the required documents will not be processed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants for the civil service eligibility must be at least 18 years old on the date of application and must not have been previously convicted of any crime, must not have been discharged dishonorably from the military service, and must have not taken the same level of examination in less than three months.
In the case of fire officers, applicants must be at least 1.62 meters (5’4”) high for male, or 1.57 meters (5’2”) for female. They must also weigh not more than five kilograms from the standard weight corresponding to their height, age and sex.
A waiver for height requirement will be automatically granted to applicants belonging to cultural communities subject to submission of certification of membership to a cultural community issued by the National Commission on Indigenous People.
