Lingayen welcomes new CSI mall
LINGAYEN—The opening of a CSI branch here, the 16th of the CSI Group of Companies, was welcomed by the capital town, recognizing its potential economic contribution.
Mayor Ernesto Castañeda Jr. said CSI, a popular supermarket and consumer goods retailer and wholesaler, will generate employment opportunities, contribute taxes and prompt other economic benefits.
He said CSI’s presence, an indication of investor confidence, could help in the town’s goal of eventually being given city status.
“We are very thankful to CSI through Dagupan City Vice Mayor Belen Fernandez for investing in our town and I admire her foresight,” Castañeda added.
Fernandez, chairman of her family’s CSI Group, assured the people of Lingayen and shoppers from nearby towns that the benchmark of having the lowest prices is carried out in all its branches.
Earlier this month, CSI also opened its Tayug branch while CSI Pozorrubio is scheduled for opening by the end of January.
The construction of CSI Mangatarem will start in January.
