FIRE PREVENTION MONTH

City Fire Marshall F/Sr. Insp. Reynaldo Mina expressed confidence that his station and men are ready to respond to any fire that may happen within his area jurisdiction as well as   neighboring localities.

The local fire department recently held a motorcade in observance of the Fire Prevention Month this March with the theme “Pambansang Pakakaisa Laban sa Sunog”.

To prevent fires, Mina sought the cooperation of  barangay officials, other local government units as well as all residents, particularly in far-flung areas.

To improve response time, he stressed that incase of fires, callers should provide them with correct and clear information to aid them.

He also called on motorists to quickly pull over to the side of roads to give way to their responding fire trucks as time is crucial during fire incidents.

He said all their fire trucks undergo regular maintenance check-up to be in good running condition all the time.

Other activities lined up for the month include information dissemination and fire and earth quake drills for school children and their teachers.
