3 shops in Dagupan robbed in 1 night

IT’S glory days for robbers in Dagupan it seems, victimizing three establishments on A.B. Fernandez Avenue in just one night last December 5.

Robbed were Cris Hardware Supply managed by Cherrylyn Lapeña, 36, of Carangalaan-Bacayao Road; Splash Direct Sales managed by Marvin Abasalo, 34, of Central Fairview, Baguio City; and Asian Link Lending Institution managed by Fernando Bacani, of Buenlag, Calasiao.

First to discover the robbery was Asia Link when company document processor Bobby Vallesteros came to their office and found it ransacked, the safety vault containing petty cash money of about P40,000 forcibly opened and the money taken.

The manager of Cris Hardware also discovered that their stall was ransacked with some P3,000 cash placed in a drawer and a vice grip mechanical tool inside a mechanical cabinet were missing.

At the same time, the manager of Splash Direct Sales discovered that their office has also been robbed with cash of P9,587 placed inside a cash drawer carted away.

Recovered from the scene were two pieces of one-inch round iron more or less two feet in length, the vice grip tool taken from Cris Hardware, and bull cap believed owned by one of the suspects.

The victims asked: Where were the police?
