BAYAMBANG–Joint elements of the Bayambang Police Station and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) raided the house of the barangay administrator of Pangdel here and seized several magazines of high-powered firearms and ammunition at 6:15 of December 5.

The raiders, who swooped down on the house of Flaviano Arenas, 51, were armed with a search warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Renato D. Pinlac of Branch 57in San Carlos City.

Seized from the house of the suspect were four long magazines for M16 rifle, one short magazine for M16 rifle, one magazine for Galil assault rifle, two magazines for cal. 45 pistol, 67 rounds of live ammunition for cal. 5.56 and one magazine pouch for M16 rifle.

Barangay Chairman Onofre Romano and Emmanuel Ruiz Jr, a son of the suspect, witnessed the search in the absence of the suspect.
