Provincial gov’t completes P250 M infra projects

LINGAYEN—The province completed P250 million worth of various infrastructure projects last year and another P230 million are under construction, Provincial Engineer Divina de Leon reported.

De Leon said those completed have boosted the development thrusts of the provincial government and those under construction, expected to be completed before the end of the first quarter of this year, will serve as further complements.

Governor Victor Agbayani said these projects include the concrete and asphalt paving of road lines, rehabilitation of bridges, and construction of school buildings and water systems.

He said the provincial engineering brigades have undertaken concreting, asphalting, blacktopping and backfilling of at least 354 provincial and barangay roads.

Also completed was the construction of a multi-million peso water system with transmission and distribution pipelines, elevated and concrete water tank Phase 1and II at barangay Nangalisan, Infanta.

Projects lined up for this year   include the rehabilitation of 14 bridges, construction of 178 classrooms in addition to708 classrooms already completed, and improvement of 19 shallow deep wells.

The Burgos-Iliw-Iliw road, Banaoang-Mapandan road and Poblacion-Malilion road in San Nicolas are among the roads set for completion this year.
