Metro Dagupan retains PRISAA regional crown

THE delegation of PRISAA Metro Dagupan Division retained the overall crown in the 22nd PRISAA Regional Collegiate Games held October 27-30 in Dagupan City and Lingayen.

The group garnered a total of 180 medals, comprising of 105 gold, 65 silver, and 20 bronze.

Powered by some 150 athletes from the Dagupan-based University of Luzon, the delegation dominated most of the 12-team and individual sports events that included athletics, badminton, basketball, beach volleyball, badminton, chess, dance sports, karatedo, swimming, taekwondo, and volleyball.

PRISAA Metro San Carlos Division, represented mostly by athletes from the Virgen Milagrosa University Foundation, amassed 71 gold, 50 of which in athletics, 52 silver, and 41 bronze medals, to bag second place.

La Union Division was at third with 14 gold, 36 silver, and 28 bronze.

Laoag City, Pangasinan I, and Pangasinan II Divisions placed 4th, 5th and 6th, respectively.

The first place winners will represent PRISAA Region I in the PRISAA National National Collegiate Games to be held in Cebu City and Tagbilaran City, Bohol, in April next year.

Next year’s regional games will be hosted by PRISAA Metro San Carlos.—Prisaa report/ P.Celi
