RESCUE tools — Dagupan Mayor Benjamin Lim and Kevin Donahue, United States Agency for International Development (USAID) communications specialist, turn over rescue tools such as hardhats, petromax and two-way radios (top photo) to barangay Salisay chairman Conrado Muyalde at the city hall on January 8. The turn-over ceremony was part of the USAID’s Project PROMISE, which is aimed at increasing the people’s capacity in disaster-preparedness. Seven other barangays benefited from the project. Representatives from each of the barangays have undergone training on the use of the rescue tools.
