1st nat’l sportsfest of treasurers, assessors held in Lingayen
LINGAYEN—The 1st National Sportsfest of the Philippine Association of Local Treasurers and Assessors (PHALTRA), Inc. was held at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center here, alongside a sharing of best practices in fiscal management among the participants.
“It was not just sports competition. Our goal was to showcase our different best practices and I am sure that other provinces are interested to know how Pangasinan has reached its present stature as No. 1 province north of Manila under the stewardship of Gov. Amado Espino Jr.,” said Provincial Assessor Nestor Quiambao, currently the PHALTRA president.
The event, dubbed, “1st National Sharing of Best Practices on Treasury and Assessment Operations and Wellness Program”, was sponsored by the provincial government
The participants played volleyball, basketball, tennis, relay obstacle race, walkathon, marathon, chess, billiards, bowling, practical shooting, 100-meter dash, tug-of-war, dancesport and cultural competition. (PIO)
