PROJECT PROMISE is set to distribute various devices on January 8 to the eight pilot barangays to increase their capacities on disaster preparedness.

“The provision of various facilities will empower our barangays and equip- them for any eventuality caused by hydro-meteorological hazards, PROMISE-Dagupan focal person and city agriculturist Emma Molina said.

Kevin Donahue, a representative from the United States Agency for International Development and Lorna Victoria, vice president of the Center for Disaster Preparedness (CDP) will arrive to turn over the devices to the barangays.

Bacayao Norte will receive 2 two-way radios, 2 megaphones, 10 hard hats, 10 rain boots, 2 heavy dutylife jackets, 8 ordinary life jackets, 3 bamboo  rafts, 12 flash lights, 2 tents (tolda), 1 20-meter rope, 10 raincoats, 1 transistor radio, 2 emergency lights and 1 still cameras.

Bacayao Sur will get 2 petromax, 2 two-way radios, 2 megaphones, 5 hardhats,  5 rainboots, 3 heavy duty life jackets, 3 flatboats, 1 bamboo raft, 5 flashlights, 4 tents, 1-20 meter rope, 5 raincoats, and 2 emergency lights.

Two petromax, 2 two-way radios, 2 megaphones, 10 hardhats, 10 rainboots, 2 heavy duty life jackets, 8 ordinary life jackets, 2 flatboats, 10 flashlights, 2 tents, 1 20-meter rope, 10 raincoats and 2 emergency lights will be given to Lasip Chico.

Lasip Grande will be equipped with 3 petromax, 3 two-way radios, 1 megaphone, 10 hardhats, 10 rainboots, 2 heavy duty life jackets, 2 flatboats, 3 flashlights, 3 tents, 2 20-meter ropes, 10 raincoats, 3 transistor radios, and 2 emergency lights.

Mangin will get 2 two-way radios, 2 megaphone, 10 hardhats, 10 rainboots, 2 heavy duty life jackets, 2 flatboats, 10 flashlights, 2 tents, 1 -20-meter rope, 10 raincoats, 1 emergency light. A road guide will also be provided for the barangay.

One petromax, 1 megaphone, 10 hardhats, 1 heavy duty life jacket, 4 ordinary life jacket, 2 flatboats, 3  flashlights, 2 tents and 1 transistor radio for Pogo Grande.

Three megaphones, 10 hardhats, 10 rainboots, 2 heavy duty life jackets, 2 flatboats, 3 bamboo rafts, 5 tents, 1 20-meter rope, 10 raincoats, 3 emergency lights and a road guide for Salisay.

Tebeng will receive 1 petromax, 2 two-way radios, 1 megaphone, 10 hardhats, 10 rainboots, 2 heavy duty life jackets, 8 ordinary life jackets, 2 flatboats, 1 bamboo raft, 10 flashlights, 2 tents, 2 20-meter ropes, 10 raincoats, 1 emergency light, a road guide and 30 “kalungkong.”
