THE Department of Science and Technology (DOST) in Region 1 will hold a Regional Invention Contest and Exhibit on September 27-29 at the SM City mall in Rosales town.

DOST Regional Director Elsa Chan said the three-day event, with the theme ‘Imbensyon at Inobasyon: Kabalikat sa Pagunlad’, will feature inventions, utility models, industrial design and creative works of researchers, high school and college students from various schools.

There will also be a bazaar for DOST-assisted small and medium enterprises.

On the first day, a technology forum on brown rice, baby food and low fat ice cream will be held. The next day, the fora will focus on delaying the ripening of saba banana; low sugar, sulfate- free dried mangoes; water purifier; and styro plastic densifier. (PIA-Pangasinan)
