Traveling Science Fair comes to Dagupan June 27-July 15
A 19-DAY science fair dubbed “Philippine Science Centrum’s Adventure Science in Discovery Traveling Exhibition”, organized by the Philippine Foundation Science and Technology (PFST) will be held from June 27 to July 15 at the CSI Stadia in Dagupan City.
The exhibits will feature various interactive displays such as the Department of Science and Technology’s “Science Explorer: Your Ride to the Future”.
The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) and the Divine Word Academy of Dagupan (DWAD), will also put up an exhibit on different aquatic resources and robotics, respectively.
According to Nora Benavides, DepEd Dagupan Supervisor directing the event, said thousands of students both from public and private schools will be invited to attend the activity.
Benavidez added that although the main target of the said event are fifth and sixth graders, the exhibit is to other grade levels book provided reservations are made.
Teachers and school administrators are allowed free admission while there will be a P50 entrance for visitors on Saturdays.
There are also special entrance promotions on site by Vaseline soaps and/or shampoos and Sunsilk products.
Part of the proceeds of the events, according to PFST Executive Director May Pagsinohin, will be donated by Dagupan Vice Mayor Belen Fernandez, whose family owns the CSI Stadia, to DepEd Dagupan for the implementation of various science-related projects.
