Konsyerto sa Gulpo finals set on May 1
LINGAYEN–Registration is still ongoing for this year’s Konsyerto ed Gulpo (Battle of the Bands), one of the highlights of the Pistay Dayat 2011.
The competition, aimed at promoting the musical talents of the youth in support of the province’s environmental advocacy, is open to all amateur bands in the province.
Each band will be allowed to play three numbers with one entry song related to environment protection and development in Pangasinan.
Elimination rounds will be conducted from April 23 to 27, the semi-final round on April 29, and the grand finals on May 1 at the Lingayen Beachfront.
The following prizes will be given to the winners: grand Champion – P30,000 plus grand trophy; first runner-up – P20,000 plus trophy; second runner-up – P15,000 plus trophy; two consolation prizes P5,000 each; minor awards such as best in vocals, best in lead guitar, best in bass guitar, best in drums andbest in keyboard and will be given P1,000 each.
