A GREAT granddaughter of Governor Daniel Maramba, a foremost son of Pangasinan who once served as a senator, was the guest of honor and speaker during the Joint Achievers’ Day of Harvent Schools at the Sison Auditorium in Lingayen on April 2.

Ariana Henares, 18, is a freshman at the Ateneo de Manila pursuing B.S. Management Engineering.

Her grandmother is Concepcion Maramba-Henares, president of the National Federation of Women’s Club who once headed the movement that gave women the right to vote in the country.

The guest speaker is one of the daughters of Atty. Daniel Henares, a businessman, and Kim Jacinto-Henares, currently the Commissioner of the Bureau of Internal Revenue.

Ariana was introduced by Jan Andreas Pallasigui, grandson of Harvent Schools founder Margarita Hamada, as an extra-ordinary girl with a lofty IQ of 190, which is twenty points higher than that of her grandpa, Don Hilarion Henares Sr. — an industrialist, businessman, manufacturer, a popular columnist and radio TV commentator — with a 170 IQ, which made him a super kid in his day.

Henares graduated with honors from high school at Miriam College and stayed in Japan as a YFU scholar and in 26 days, learned to speak and write Japanese.
