LINGAYEN–April 5 is a special non-working holiday in the province in celebration of “Agew na Pangasinan”.

The holiday, marking the 431st foundation anniversary of the province, is covered by Proclamation No. 103 of the Office of the President of the Philippines, signed by Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa Jr.

Ochoa, in behalf of the President, said it is but fitting and proper that the people of Pangasinan be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.
