MANGALDAN – P/Chief Insp. Llyod Milan, the newly-sworn in police chief here, has promised to address the worsening traffic situation in this town’s central market area.

Milan said the police force will coordinate with the town’s Public Order and Safety Office (POSO) to draw up new and alternative traffic routes to improve vehicular flow in congested areas.

Jeepney drivers and operators will also be invited to help identify solutions for the long-standing problem.

“Together with the people, we will draw up plans on how to solve the daily traffic congestion in our town,” Milan said.

Meanwhile, Milan has also warned his men of drastic disciplinary action if they misbehave and show disrespect towards the very people that they have sworn to serve.

Milan took over the position vacated by P/Supt. Segundino Adalega who was given a new assignment after less than two-year tour of duty.

The turnover of the two police officers was witnessed by Mayor Herminio Romero who congratulated Adalega for a job well-done. At the same time, Romero extended his warm welcome to Milan. — APE
