TWELVE young ladies are competing for this year’s Miss Dagupan title, with the coronation night set during the city fiesta celebration on December 26.

The candidates are Joana Marie Solomon, 20 years old of Tambac; Moriel Leano, 18, Malued; Almea Doisse Dizon, 17, Guilig Street; Alannah Guselle Cuison, 20, Guilig Street; Jean Kimberly Ann Oraza, 19, Bonuan Gueset; Karina Angela Romero, 20, Gaudencio Siapno Road; Mary Ann Callejo, 20, Barangay Malued; Marla Viray Razon, 18, Caranglaan; Janine De Guzman, 17, Salapingao East; Ariane Floresca  Dizon, 20, Herrero-Perez; Arlene De Vera, 17, Malued; and Lyjaica  Alcaide, 17, Bonuan Binloc.

The beauty and brain competition for the candidates will be on December 15, the grand opening of this year’s city fiesta at the city plaza.

Councilor Red Erfe Mejia, event chairman, said this year’s Miss Dagupan will earn the right to represent the city in the Miss Earth competition and will serve as the city’s ambassador of goodwill.

Miss Dagupan 2010 will receive P30,000 and a trophy while the first runner-up will receive P20,000 and a trophy, second runner-up will bring home P10,000 and a trophy. (CIO)
