Dagupan COP optimistic about recognition

POLICE Superintendent Romeo Caramat Jr. is “90% confident” that the Dagupan City police station will again win the Best City Police Station award in the region.

Caramat said his confidence is premised on knowing how the local government of Dagupan under Mayor Benjamin Lim and the different non-government organizations in the city has been very supportive in their operation to maintain peace and order in the community.

The selection of the Best City Police Station nationwide, the awarding of which will be done during the PNP Anniversary sometime in January of next year.

Dagupan City PNP has received the regional award in previous years, and has snatched the national award five times.

“The award will surely bring honor to the city and our police station which will surely increase the morale of our men in performing their public duty,” he said.

The criteria for the selection is the Annual General Inspection / Operational Readiness Survey Inspection Test and Evaluation (AGI/ORSITE) being conducted by the Philippine National Police (PNP) simultaneously around the country.

Other award categories include the selection of the Best Police Provincial Office, Best Municipal Police Station and Police Provincial Mobile Group and individual awards and recognition.
