PRISAA honors Duque
DR. Gonzalo Duque, Lyceum-Northwestern University president, will be honored by PRISAA Region I with the Outstanding Leadership Award in simple ceremonies on November 25 in Dagupan City.
The award, the first to be conferred on an official from among the group’s member-institutions, will be presented by virtue of a resolution approved last month by the Private Schools Athletic Association Region I Board of Trustees.
It is in recognition of Duque’s “exemplary and distinctive service to the youth of the nation, in general, and to student-athletes of Region I, in particular.”
Duque, a lawyer, will be cited for his leadership in PRISAA activities as Region I president during the years 2003-2009, national president in 2005-2006, national board co-chairman in 2006-2010; and, national board chairman, in 2008-2010.
