City schools get US schoolbooks donation

SOME 3,500 high school books are set to be donated by the Rotary Club of Delano City in California, U.S. A. to students of Dagupan City.

This was announced by Reverend Joseph Wright of the North Kern Christian Church an official of the Delano City Rotary Club and chaplain of the Delano City Police, when he was in Dagupan last Tuesday.

Wright, who brought with him samples of the books that are arriving in three months, said the donation with be coursed through with the Rotary Club of Dagupan East.

The books, which were used by junior high school students but are still in good condition, will be coming from district schools in Delano City.

The two rotary clubs as well as Wright’s North Church Christian Church agreed to share the shipping cost of the books.
