NABRO seminar-clinic on Nov. 6-7
THE Pangasinan-Dagupan City chapter of the National Amateur Basketball Referees Organization (NABRO) is set to hold its seminar-clinic in basketball officiating on November 6 and 7 at St. John’s Cathedral gym in Dagupan City.
According to NABRO Pangasinan-Dagupan City chapter commissioner Alejandro “Jon” Cansino, Jr., the highlight of the two-day event will be a discussion of the new international rules by the world basketball governing body FIBA and the set of rules governing “three-on-three” games.
“There are new rules after this year’s FIBA World Championship Games and the referees, coaches and aficionados have to know what these are,” said Cansino.
The adoption of the new rules have started this month (October) and the ‘three-on-three” was introduced in Singapore during the First Youth Olympic Games last August.
International referee Bryan Tabanag will be the seminar’s facilitator.
