Dagupan SP oks additional budget
THE city council has approved on second reading the proposed P18,690,982 supplemental budget submitted by Mayor Benjamin Lim for various programs of the city government.
The amount will be drawn from the additional Internal Revenue Allotment (IRA) of the city government as certified by City Treasurer Romelita Alcantara.
Councilor Jeslito Seen, chairman on appropriations of the city council, proposed the measure and approved without the body calling City Administrator Vladimir Mata who was present in the session hall ready to defend the supplemental budget.
The amount will cover the following: 20 percent of the additional IRA for development projects under the Annual Investment Plan, P3,738,196.40; five percent of the additional IRA for Budget Reserve (Calamity Fund), P934,549.10; additional outlay for Cultural Heritage Promotion Program, P1,000,000,000; Ecological and Environmental Sanitation Program, P1,268,236.50; electricity expense, P4,500,000; water expense, P200,000; and additional outlay for the Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses (MOOE) of the City Mayor’s Office, like traveling expense, P500,000; training expense, P500,000; office supplies expense, P500,000; gasoline, oil and lubricants expense, P500,000; consultancy services, P750,000; and donations, P4,300,000.–LM
