Mayor’s feeding program underway
THE Dagupan City government has started implementing its “120 Day Supplemental Feeding” program in thirteen barangays.
Recipients of the feeding program are 517 preschoolers who are either underweight or severely underweight from Barangays I, II, III, IV, Bolosan, Caranglaan, Herrero-Perez, Mamalingling, Mangin, Mayombo, Salisay, Tambac, Tapuac, and Tebeng.
The program is in line with Mayor Benjamin Lim’s directive to the city nutrition office last month to provide extensive nutrition care and attention to severely malnourished children aged 0 to six years old.
Each child will be fed with oatmeal, noodles, milk and chocolate drink, rice and “lelot balatong”, biscuits and sardines for two meals a day.
