Dagupan named most competitive among RP’s emergent cities
DAGUPAN City has topped the Philippine Cities Competitive Ranking Project for 2009.
Former City Information Office Ryan Ravanzo, who served under the previous administration of Mayor Alipio Fernandez Jr., told The PUNCH that Dagupan bested the cities of Angeles, Butuan, Cotabato, Lucena, Naga, Legaspi, Pagadian, Puerto Princesa, Ormoc, Iligan, Tagum, and San Fernando in La Union, Surigao, Tuguegarao, Tacloban and Santiago.
Ravanzo said Fernandez gave the final validation interview before evaluators from the Asian Institute of Management Policy Center last June 28, two days before Fernandez stepped down from office.—LM
