Hilarion inducted new PMS president
DR. Hilarion Maramba Jr. was sworn in as president of the Pangasinan Medical Society (PMS) for 2010-2011 by Philippine Medical Association president Dr. Oscar Tinio during the 84th PMS Anniversary and Induction Rites on July 18 at the Sison Auditorium in Lingayen.
Other officers inducted were Drs. Ma. Julita P. de Venecia, secretary; Lalaine Duque, treasurer; Armando Bonifacio, auditor; Larry Sarito, press relations officer; and Thea Abalos, editor-in-chief.
Awarding rites were also held with ex-officio Dr. Fernando Fernandez receiving both the Dr.
Francisco de Guzman Leadership Award and the Dr. Edmundo Exconde Community Service Award.
Other awardees were Drs. Ma. Julita de Venecia (secretary 2009-2010) and Susan R. Rosario (treasurer 2009-2010) for the Dr. Gualberto de Venecia Most Outstanding Officer Award; Dr. Cipriano Fernandez, vice president for West Central chapter 2009-2010, for the Most Active Chapter Vice President Award; Dr. Ivy Ico-Palma, for the Dr. Vivencio Villaflor Jr. Best Researcher Award, and Dr. David Ben E, Gurion for the “Gawad Leon”-Leon Maramba Foundation’s Award for Child Health Advocacy.
