Pozorrubio priority projects ready for next mayor
The construction of the five (5) priority infrastructure projects of Pozorrubio Mayor Emma Zosima Chan of Pozorrubio are proceeding on schedule.
The lady mayor said she expects most of the projects to be completed in time for the turnover to the new administration on June 2010 “so the new mayor will have less priority projects to worry about when he assumes the post.”
The demolition of the burnt Gabaldon building of the Pozorrubio Central School had been going on for the last few days to prepare the ground for the construction of a 3-storey school building expected to be finished in time for the June opening of classes.
To date, the P12-13 million fund pledged by 5th District Representative Mark Cojuangco for the school building was augmented by P10 million from DepEd, P5 million from Governor Amado Espino Jr., P2 million from ABONO partylist and P2 million as the town’s counterpart.
The Malasin-Bantugan Bridge, funded fully by municipal savings, has reached Phase 11 which involves the re-channeling of the Angalacan River bed and embankments and the construction of slope protection.
The People’s Civic Center Building is on its last phase while additional layer of tombs and crypts and concrete fence are being constructed at the public cemetery expansion.
The concreting of farm-to-market roads and slope-protection projects are ongoing.
