Aro Garden winners awarded
WINNERS for the annual Aro Garden Program (AGP) in Calasiao, a project promoting backyard vegetable farming, were awarded their prizes on March 7.
AGP is an initiative of Aro Ministries, a nonprofit organization based in San Francisco in partnership with the Calasiao Church of Christ.
This to encourage communities to cultivate gardens to augment income, have fresh vegetables for family consumption, and help reduce global warming by planting trees.
The top seven winners were Floro Jimenez, Fausta Maningding, Buenafe Indong, Delia Calicdan, Elmer Perreras, Sheryl Peralta, and Alejandro Decena. Consolation prizes were also given out to 25 other participants.
Eulogio Salazar, a retired public school teacher with a degree in agriculture, headed the evaluation team.
