BANGUS FEST UPDATE

ANOTHER feature has been added to this year’s Bangus Festival: the “Yaman ng Norte Diad Bangus Festival 2010”.

Vice Mayor Fernandez, the festival committee chairman, said it will be an exhibit that will showcase different products, delicacies, culture and events of various towns and cities in Northern Luzon is aligned with the government’s One Town, One Product program.

Several towns and cities from Regions 1, 2 and 3 have already confirmed their participation in the exhibit, which will be held at the CSI Stadia on April 27 to April 30.

The opening of the exhibit will be simultaneous with the opening of the Agri-Trade Fair and Tourism Exhibit.

Visitors will also be treated to a product technology and skills demonstrations organized by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

Other livelihood and skills enhancement activities include: massage and reflexology, manicure and pedicure, empanada making, seaweed processing, climate change plastic processing, salted egg making, peanut processing, meat processing, abalone culture, and fish tapa making, among others.

The fair is sponsored by the Dagupan City Government in partnership with the DTI, Department of Tourism, Department of Agriculture, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Agrarian Reform and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority.
