City holds medical mission for indigents
INDIGENT residents of Dagupan received free medical services and medicines from the city government’s medical mission recently conducted at the Dagupan People’s Astrodome.
Contributing to the mission were the Mercury Group of Companies, private and public doctors and nurses.
Dagupan City Mayor Alipio Fernandez Jr. said the Mercury Group has been the city’s staunchest ally in its medical missions for the last 12 years.
“We thank Mercury Drug for their generosity and for partnering with us in bringing good health to our constituents,” Fernandez said.
Last March 1, in celebration of its 65th anniversary, Mercury Drug’s Operation Bigay Lunas 2010 provided free consultation and P850,000.00 worth of medicines.
The also commended the volunteer doctors from Region I Medical Center, Pangasinan Medical Society and private practitioners, and volunteer nurses from the University of Pangasinan and PIMSAT.—CIO
