Forum tackles overseas employment issues
LINGAYEN–The provincial government, through the Provincial Employment Service Office (PESO), has joined forces with several other agencies to hold a forum aimed at raising the awareness of Pangasinenses on issues concerning labor and employment.
The partner agencies are the Commission of Filipinos Overseas (CFO), Overseas Workers Welfare Association (OWWA) and the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA).
At the “Pulong pulong sa Kapitolyo”, held at the PESO office on March 4, the three national lead agencies provided the participants from various provincial offices with information on migration, intermarriages and existing government policies against illegal recruitment, human trafficking and smuggling.
